"I call my treatment model HOPE not DOPE, meaning: Holistic, Orthomolecular, Preventative, and Empowering as opposed to: the Dependence-forming, Overspecialized, Pharmaceutical, and Emergency-focused healthcare that dominates mainstream medicine today."

 my philosophy

I came to understand the value of holistic healthcare when my only child became seriously ill and mainstream medical care failed us. By the tender age of 4 my son was obsessive, tangential, and incapable of learning or self-regulation. By the age of 7 he was given his first group of mental health diagnoses.

The medical "treatment" he received included punitive, Draconian institutional care. The facility was endorsed by all the psychiatrists we saw at the time, but is now the subject of a class action lawsuit for abuses against vulnerable children. My son returned home with the first signs of psychosis and signs of emotional and physical trauma that went deeper than I knew how to manage.

That's when I found the late Dr. Abram Hoffer and his orthomolecular psychiatry. I flew my son across Canada to see him and within weeks his vitamin and nutrition therapy transformed my son - and our lives - and drew me in.

I now practice orthomolecular nutrition with a special interest in psychiatric nutrition. To this I add formal studies in herbal medicine, classical homeopathy, and functional diagnostics. I call my treatment model HOPE not DOPE, meaning it's Holistic, Orthomolecular, Preventative, and Empowering as opposed to the Dependence-forming, Overspecialized, Pharmaceutical, and Emergency-focused norm in mainstream healthcare today.

My model aims to nourish and balance, strengthen and empower. Clients are active participants in their treatment, not passive recipients. The therapeutics I use include nutrition education, functional assessments, serum and hair testing, and targeted nutrient supplements in therapeutic doses. I add to this gentle herbals and homeopathics when needed. This model is safe, scientific, low cost, and improves outcomes drastically. It can be used in drug-naive clients as well as integratively with pharmaceutical care where needed.

If you or someone you care about is suffering and this approach speaks to you, I invite you to reach out. Until you experience it, it's almost impossible to understand the transformational power of nutritional therapies.

I spoke to Miss Nonie here and she suggested a natural treatment and they (bedbugs) were gone within a week! And she came to my house to help my son after his accident. She also treated my niece's panic attacks when the doctor's couldn't. I can't thank her enough!

My teen son was suicidal. Nonie was the only person who helped R! Nonie told me he needed certain foods and specific supplements in quantities she recommended. Within 6 weeks he was totally well again just like she said! 2 years later he is still fine! I am so grateful!

Nonie was able to figure out what I've been struggling with since as early as I can remember. Something the doctors haven't been able to do my whole life! No doctor I've seen thought to even look at my diet. I would recommend Nonie to anyone and everyone!
